I have been 'lurking' here for awhile and drooling over doubles for most of my adult life. The cost has always made me a watcher. I've scratch built quite a few guns over the years. I like to build the stuff I can't afford! I just ordered the Ellis book. I'm going to assume he mentions specifics as to what to start with. In the interim, I'm wondering if there's a list somewhere of suitable actions to start with. E.g., I read in one of the posts here that American actions are not suitable. Any way, 'Thousand mile journey...... Bill
