Can a gun with a top strap over the comb (presently cast off) be bent, if not to the left, at least straight? I have heard it cannot be done, because of the strap being inletted into the stock, but I'm wondering why the bending cannot be done in two parts, first bending the strap, then the stock to match. This is not an academic question, I have a Holland Royal Paradox that is cast off, and I'm left handed. I shoot several guns with zero cast quite well, and was hoping I might be able to bend this straight without the necessity and cost of restocking. Any ideas or names of gunsmiths who might do this would be greatly appreciated! |
