VonGruff, I'm hoping for the least number of shots possible to regulate this rifle...these 2 Bores can be very punishing to shoot. I'm hoping with as much as this one weighs it will tame the recoil quite a bit. Tinker, Using irons works very well for re-regulation, it allows you to control the heat, keeping it localized to the muzzles/wedge area and helps prevent everything from separating. Depending on how old the rifle is...if it was put together with Cornish tin, that stuff flows at 275degf. If a guy is careful he can re-regulate an old double that was soldered together with Cornish tin with out effecting the original finish. Colin |
