Actually he decided to go with something different from the "classics", on that sample block I showed in the previous video there is a section that looks grey with a red undertone. That color of stain is called "Antique Red Oak" and he decided that it would look good against the color case hardening and be completely unique and different than anything else in his gun cabinet. We discussed the possible ramifications of that color finish on the phone and he decided that he really wants a unique finish that is different for this rifle. I've used that stain in combination with other stains to achieve a certain look but I've never used it as a stand alone color so I'm kind of interested to see how it turns out. Colin |
