All I can tell you is that the hotter you go with the new conversion caliber, the harder it is to get it regulated. Large heavy bullet calibers are the easiest to regulate. By "self regulating" I guess you mean a rifle that you can change the regulation on by making adjustments on it yourself using some sort of adjustment apperatus. Is that what you are talking about?
