Without a book on the subject (yet) I've been musing about a project to work myself up to more ambitious stuff like making up barrels for shotgun actions.

I have in mind the task of rechambering a double rifle for a more "charismatic" chambering of the same bore size.

Are there specific problems I need to be looking out for here? I intend to take a "self regulating" model and converting it to fixed regulation, otherwise a straight rechamber and experiment exercise.

Any thoughts? 30-06 to 30 Super Flanged is the intended task at the moment.
