450 366, Yes. It is called the diesel effect and is the principal behind the deisel engine... an oversimplification perhaps??? A good point though just the same! GroovyMike, The principal as I understand it at least is the reduction or even elimination of friction / grab of the cartridge on the walls of the chamber thus placing the full force of the rebounding action of the (fired) cartridge fully on the breech face instead of disipating some of that force through adhesion to the chamber walls. To all, Geeeeez! I only intended to ask if anyone had tried this method or if they considered it worthwhile. Never imagined it would turn into such a debate but I'm kind of glad it did. Maybe this is something that needed some fleshing out. |
