I to have the 45/70 and with 350gr hornadys at around 2000fps the trigger gard gets your finger when you fire the right hand barrel.I have not changed the stock on mine yet,But I have had Alex make up a new fount sight with a nice big bead and we turned around the rear sight and filed the u out to a nice v.I would like to change the stock some time but it is ok for now.
