Re: Building a .303 double

Made quite a bit of progress up till I hit the next brick wall. I have the forearm catch, spacer and sling swivel mount and the quarter rib made. Now I need them tigged onto the barrels. Well guess what, nobody in this small town can/will microtig and those that build homebuilt aircraft won't touch it. I thought they might as they make some pretty small important welds on the planes. That is what you get for assuming. . It is kinda funny as I am pretty much treated as the antichrist when they find out its a gun that needs work. And no gunsmiths here that do that work, they are parts changers.
So I am going to get a machine as soon as I can afford it and do it myself. I have been welding for years on trucks, caterpillers well equipment and other stuff with both mig and stick no reason I can't learn to tig before I die.
just need a little money.
