I have plans of doing something with the stock on my 30-06 side by side. Perhaps someone here could provide guidance before I destroy something. My biggest problem is the pistol grip. I have contemplated adding wood and re-shaping to make a full pistol grip stock. Is this something that sounds feasible?

I have other ideas regarding the stock but this seems to be the most complex for me. I have communicated with a gentlemen in Washington State that does what is called a grain enhancement and his work appears to almost cover up seams where wood has been added.
