Yes what is this feeling of being Mortal & having fear as one gets older ? I dont like it !

Do you think that is a good test to see if we can take the recoil , get a 10Ga load er up & give it a yank ?

Sounds like something I might want to watch. I was 15 when I fired off 2, 10 bore 2 7/8" shot loads at the same time into a flock of prairie chickens on a cousin's ranch (eating the chicken's grain). Got 7 of them and broke the stock when the gun hit the ground - only hurt my pride a bit as I picked myself up. I was a big kid, but didn't expect to be hit by a truck. It kicked a lot more than my 20 bore. Cousin had instructed me to put both fingers on the triggers so I'd get more chickens. BaBoom. P. Chicken for supper all week & time to mix up some epoxy for the stock. Being young and fairly tough, I don't even think I bruised, but then, it was only 3 1/4oz. shot at 1,250fps - Hmmmm - sounds pretty much like Baker's 4 bore ball at 3 oz., doesn't it.

Becoming mortal is just a natural pregression in time, Sarg.
