I'd do at least a 12 gauge for 577 up to Light Nitro
and 10ga should be great for a 577 Full Nitro.
A 577 at 13lbs should be shootable - suggest look at the stock, put a recoil reducer in it and stick something like
a Limbsaver on it.
Great recoil pads to stop felt recoil.
