Huvius brings up a good point about "blending the seams". On my other three builds, two of which were blued using Herter's Belgian Blue, and one which was hot-blued, there is a very noticeable difference in colour between the monoblock and the barrels. I'm sure that this is due to the different chemistry of the steels. I had high hopes that the rust-bluing process would circumvent this problem. It absolutely has! It is almost impossible to find the seam on this gun and there is absolutely NO colour differential at all. I plan on re-bluing the other three now, as soon as I get the chance.
