Here are some photos of the finished product. You'll note that the rear sight is missing. I'm waiting for a piece of platinum wire from my local jeweller. When it arrives, I need to inlay it into a slot under the rear "V", then blue the unit. I must say that I'm very pleased with the way that this first attempt at rust bluing has turned out. The finish is on an order of magnitude better than what I've been getting with the Herter's Belgian Blue. A couple of people have asked me about the brass bottles. I turned them on my lathe. The three at the lower left contain bore cleaner, oil, and vaseline. The two small ones at the upper right contain a pair of spare firing pins in one and a couple of spare front sights in the other.
