Knife blades. Axes and other edge tools. Damascus forging including forge welding. Properties: Hardenable up to 55 HRC. Excellent toughness. Excellent forgeability and forge weldability. No corrosion resistance. BTW Per Billgren who owns the company is not just a metalsmithing genius but also one of the nicest men I know. While some companies make barrels with his steels, I am guessing that any barrelmaker would be able to do this with the blanks from Damasteel. And if someone does go ahead and build a double with browned / blued Damascus blanks, you must post pics here first since this is where you read about it. Cheers and good hunting! |
