So, it starts.

This is going to be a double 577 with two extra set of barrels in 12/12 and 12/577. The top gun is a merkel 12 bore that will be gutted and the barrels will be used for the 12/577, and the wood and small parts are to be kept for furher projects. The buttom one is a simson that i will keep the barrels and use them as they are, it will also get a couple of 577 barrels on a shoe lump, regulated for the 650grs woodleight at about 1950fps.

The barrels are from lothar walter and are pull button rifled, it seems as they are a little tighter then the old ,577" at a 14,55mm bore so i had to take the pilot on my new jgs reamer down 0,1mm in diameter. The round bar is a cr/mo steel similar to the american 4140 that will be machined to a lump and braced on to the barrels.

I will run into a lot of problems on this one, so i will try to get it all in writing and photos.
