I think this is an excellent idea and it should give builders an idea of how thick the different
caliber barrels should be made at the breech end. Another thing that would be helpfull is to take around eight measurements at one inch intervals from the breach face. That would give a real idea about the tapering involved with a muzzle diameter measurement thrown in for good measure. No pun intended. Bob H.
