As an aside, ER Shaw makes first rate barrels, I have built two bolt guns, one in .264 and the other in .458, using his barrels. They are both absolute tack drivers. The .458 started as a full 30" x 1 1/2" barrel. You could drop 500 grain Hornadys, driven at 2200 fps, into one hole, at 100 yards, all day long with that 16 pound rifle, off the bench. It was like a 45 calibre varmint rifle. As a matter of fact, I DID shoot a number of sod poodles with it but eventually I cranked the barrel off, shortened it to 26", reduced the diameter to .750" at the muzzle, and kilt a Cape Buffalo with it.
