You can re-test a blued gun in this fixture if you are careful getting it in and out of the clamping parts. The rubber pads hold it very well and do not marr the gun's finish. The whole thing is so heavy with the gun in it that the recoil hardly moves it at all. You can't see it in this picture but I also cut in a slot in the top of the long piece for the front sight to fit down into when testing side by sides. They are mounted upside down in it.
