Proof testing fixture

Gentlemen,
This is a picture or a rifle proofing fixture that I made up just to hold the guns firmly while I was proofing them. It is very simple to make and could be made much lighter than this one. I made mine out of walnut scraps because that was what I had on hand and it is strong and heavy wood. There are some 4 X 6 inch rubber pads glued on the inside of the hold down blocks, top and bottom. I put the holes thruogh it on the corners so I could pound in 60 penny spikes to help hold it, they are not need either. If you look closely, you will see the dacron fishing line that I use to pull the trigger. This fixture is mainly for side by sides, but as you can see, it also works well for over and unders.
