What works on some rifle may not work on anothe.
Usually shotguns cross too much but it bepends on velocity and recoil as Judson sais.
That way if you choose a heavy recoil and/or slow velocity cartridge you need more "crossing" and viseversa.
But there is much more on individual rifles.
