If you want to join a target club I wouldn't join the NSW Rifle Association as their discipline is to shoot .308 single shots with open sights at ranges from 300 to 800 yards. Quite specific.

As for a hunting club I suppose it depends on what the local clubs are like. I would go to a local ADA (Aust Deer Assoc) meeting and try it out. And I would also give the Safari Club International and Aust Hunters International a try too.

Your problem in Sydney is that you have too many choices.
