Re: wtb - 416 Taylor dies

CH4D is under new management. Dave Davison passed away. He had been in poor health for several years. I believe a family member took over the business. Son, I think.

Another place you might check is Whidden Gunworks. https://www.whiddengunworks.com/standard-reloading-dies/

I had them make me set of .404 Express which was later called the .416 Barnes Jones Express. Chatfield-Taylor increased the shoulder dimension of that cartridge .005 or .006 and put his name on it.

Anyway the point I am trying to make is Whidden, working from three fired cases and made me a set of dies that are the finest set of reloading dies I have ever seen. Expensive yes, but money well spent.

For what it is worth, dies prices have gone up substantially. Nothing is cheap anymore. Even the amass produced dies are expensive.

Midway list sone Redding Dies for .416 Taylor.

Personally I rate Redding as the best mass produced dies on the market right now. Not saying Hornady or RCBS are poor quality, just saying Pacific is better. FWIW, my opinion.
