Sorry Roger, no. The .41 Mag, is an interesting cartridge. In the winter of 1972, I bought a 7 1/2" .41 Mag Ruger from the Family Ski and Sport shop in Smithers, B.C., repaired to the range right away and made a 7", 5shot group at 100yrds from a sandbag rest. Up until that time, the only handgun I had fired, was my service revolver in .38SPL. I am sure with some practice I could have done better that that. Transferred to Surrey late '72 & in '73, I was talking with Elmer K. on the phone and was asking about a replacement for my issue .38SPL. He suggested a M58 S&W, the M&P version of the .41 Mag. but did say the 4" M29 was better due to the adjustable sights. That's the route I went. |
