This is one of John Saunders square bridged '98 actions that he made about 20 yrs (or more) ago in collaboration with London Guns (I think).
These were made on FN action and had a square bridge fitted. Opened out for .375 H&H. Entire bottom metal had been rebuilt for the .375 H&H round and holds 5. Gives a classic "belly" to the magazine which sits lower than the top of the trigger guard. Has straddle floor plate.
The perfect platform for a custom classic rifle.
Would also be suited for several other big cartridges. As shown in the photos below, it would suit the 500 Jeffrey and without too much trouble the back of the magazine could be opened out a bit more to hold the .416 Rigby round.

If somebody is interested in the .416 Rigby idea, I also have a Lothar Walther factory chambered and threaded barrel in that calibre that will screw straight in. Together with this, I'd do it for $250.
