1916 256 Newton Coming My Way

Hello All
Last week, I saw an ad posted on another forum for a Winchester 1887 10-gauge shotgun for sale. I have been considering owning an antique BPC shotgun for some time. I contacted the seller and we came to an agreement on the price. During our phone conversation, he mentioned that he is helping his cousin sell firearms from a family estate.
I asked him about what other firearms they were going to be selling. He mentioned to me that there was a 1916 256 Newton rifle was in the collection.
He forwarded pics to me and I immediately knew that I needed to purchase the rifle instead. I asked if I could back out of the Winchester deal and move ahead with the Newton. I love old shotguns, but I have a soft spot in my heart for vintage bolt action hunting rifles.
This Newton has upgrades from the factory which include a bolt shroud aperture and checkered steel buttplate. It also has line engraving on the receiver and bolt along with presentation engraving on the floor plate dated 1917. It also is equipped with a vintage (1960's Leupold Classic 4x scope.)
I hope to receive the rifle within the next couple weeks. I was able to track down an old set of RCBS dies and I ordered some new 270 brass. I have a good supply of 6.5 mm bullets to play around with.
I'll post more pics once I have the rifle in hand. For now, I included a picture of the engraved floor plate.
