thank you for the suggestion, I think I will try contacting the Imperial War Museum to see if they have anything.

the rifle's barrel is a Henry patent number barrel (of course) and is 7 segment tapered Henry rifling. Easily accepts a .470" (paper patched diameter) bullet seated in the throat.

It is the throes of a snow and ice Winter here so no time on targets for a few months.
