Jørgen from denmark send my pics of an accident happen last week. the owner of some kind of prototype rifle SN 1403 and made probably 1945/46 as a missing link between the Mod. 42 and the later Mod. 54 J was able to destroy his rifle by "hammer" a 6,5x55 Norma 9,1 gramm Match cartridge into the chamber when there was an unknown problem while reloading it from the magazine. I dont know if he was hurt but the rare rifle got theirs part what ever he did, it was not a good idea the barrel is marked with 6,5R, maybe startet as a 6,5x58R barrel once and that rechambered for the 6,5x55. the 6,5x58R was some kind of a wildcat cartride made by necking down the 8x58RD. |
