Wandered into a local gunshop just to kill some time. I spotted a somewhat odd looking shotgun in sad shape in the rack so I just had to have a look. It turned out to be a Remo Popular by Henry Boker and it needed a home and TLC very badly so I buckled. At one time it must have been a great looking gun, sporter stock with checkered grip etc. I was under the impression that Remo Populars were converted 71 Mausers but maybe the same name is used for both? Any comments / insights will be appreciated. --- John |
