The front sight ramp is milled as part of the barrel and not an add on .You don't see that much nowadays... Another thing I really like about this rifle is the ease of bolt manipulation .The rifle cocks on opening ,like a Winchester 70 and a Mauser 98 and it opens very easily which is needed for fast follow up shots when working the bolt while shouldered
