What a collection! Are you a dealer as well as a collector?

It is interesting to note how many of the scopes used soldered "rings", and how many of the actual rings were of the one piece variety, which would mean that the scope would have to be at least pattially disassembled in order to fit them. Even in the US, two piece rings didn't appear to be popular until the late 1930's.

I don't notice any scopes with alloy tubes and rails among the ones pictured, so I am assuming that they are all or mostly all from the pre-World War I era.

Although I recognise some of the scopes and makers, most are a mystery.
