For lead filled cases/bullets, 1st- anneal the case that will become the bullet, then clean/burnish with steel wool on a dowel, then wipe with Q-tip with solder flux, then fill with alloyed lead, rounded, then bumped with a round nosed nose punch from a lube sizer would form the case into the nose, crimping it slightly. That way, no bullets to purchase to fill. Melted range salvage adhere's to the 'case' wall quite well, due to the alloys used. The penetration is supurb compared to pure lead cores, I found.
