There are no flies on a 250gr. .40 cal bullet making 1,860fps, or the 200gr. at over 2,100.

The .41 mag. handgun puts a 210gr. out at about 1,350fps and easily takes care of deer, bear, elk and moose, within the accuracy range of the shooter. This rifle is considerably better, power wise. Even the .351Win. the .401's little brother, was a good deer/black bear rifle with it's 180gr. bullet.

I've always wanted one of those rifles when I was a kid, but could not afford it. By the time I could afford one, I was into a BRNO .358 MN and .375's.

Now, at 62 yrs. old, your post rekindled that old desire again - just to be different. That .401 would be a fun gun for hunting here & would easily handle any sized bear, within reasonable range - the ultimatte, h+ll no, but adequate.
