Thank you all for the kind words. Yes, the more I look at the rifle and think abut it`s history/family heirloom, the bigger smile I get. I do feel proud. Wish I only ask more about it when granddad was still around. Sadly. Guess a lot think about these things when it is to late...But, never to late to keep the gun alive. That is something I will do. I will take it to a gunsmith and have him look over the trigger, action, barrel and so, then I will clean the rifle, nothing more. THEN, I will take it out hunting. The interesting thing about hunting is, that I and my father hunt on the same rein deer mountains as my granddad did, even the moose hunting is done in the same area. ![]() Will keep you all informed about the progress. |
