Thank you all for the kind words. Yes, the more I look at the rifle and think abut it`s history/family heirloom, the bigger smile I get. I do feel proud. Wish I only ask more about it when granddad was still around. Sadly. Guess a lot think about these things when it is to late...But, never to late to keep the gun alive. That is something I will do. I will take it to a gunsmith and have him look over the trigger, action, barrel and so, then I will clean the rifle, nothing more. THEN, I will take it out hunting. The interesting thing about hunting is, that I and my father hunt on the same rein deer mountains as my granddad did, even the moose hunting is done in the same area. Will keep you all informed about the progress. |
