I don`t agree with you that a krag won`t be strong enough for many rounds, up here krag rifles are extremely common and was used for competition shooting for decades. Replaced now by the sauer 200str. They are not strong enough for the highest pressure loads, but if you keep the pressure down they last forever. I pretty sure norma has reloading data especially for the krag action, at least in 6,5*55 and I also believe they have it for 8*57.
