Lancaster, Norma made their ammo for the 8x54 until around 1955. Here is a pic. 9,3x57, I am not familiar with any minimum caliber size for moose hunting in Norway back in the 50`s, except the rules we have now. (The rules we have today is that the bullet has to be at least 9 grams and the energy has to be more than 2700 joule at 100m. Ore, the bullet is heavier than 10 grams and the energy should be more than 2200 joule at 100m.) This is covering moose, deer, reindeer and wild boar. This rifle should work perfectly for wolf as well, yes! I totally agree on that Nansen is a favorite explorer! |
