Got out today, kinda cool (35-40degF) and wind was gusting to 40Km or so. Used 48gr AA5744 with the 320gr and 42-46gr with the 400gr. Used F215 in all of them. Both bullets were sixed 412 on the bands and 410 on the nose down to the crimp ring. Didn't have any semi breechseaters in this bunch, no duds either. 48gr AA5744 with the 320gr LBT WFN load ran 2041 avg, 15fps SD. 42-46gr AA5744 with the 400gr LBT LFN ran 1711 to 1885 fps, came out slower than what I was hoping to see. Noticed the difference in recoil though. So I've settled on the 320gr for the hunting load for this time period. It shoots good enough to kill sumthin. |
