Quote: Yes - the ADI version of H4895 is what I'd use - 50% or more is OK, but I'd also use a filler - I've come to prefer a compressed wad of Kapok for this in my .450 Alaskan with 1/2 case of H4895. Varget would also work, I suspect. Either powder will take the 9.3x62 to the top with jacketed or cast. I suspect a heat treated bullet will surprise you as to what it will 'take'. I've shot them in a .375H&H to 2,800fps - 270gr. CAST- no leading, using LBT Blue. The harder bullet and better lube is needed for higher velocity loads. In the 9.3x62, I suspect SPG might let you down around 2,100fps - just a gut feeling. |
