A small collection of 50 cal cast projectiles.

Below is a photo of some of the cast (and jacketed) projectiles I have worked with in my 500 Jeffery.
On the left is a 350 grain conical point from a mould I designed myself on Mountain moulds . com, the next one is an RCBS 450 grain plain base, sort of like a big SWC bullet, the third one is a 500 grain Gas check one from another Mountain mould I designed, and the fourth one is a 550 grain bullet from an NEI mould in Texas. The two jacketed ones are 535 grain Woodleigh's, a RNSP and a PP.

The second photo is of two experimental Lyman type bullets, they were purchased from LBT moulds in Idaho, they were made, but not taken by the customer. I believe Lyman made this type in both 357 and 44 calibres for the pistol shooters sometime in the 60's or 70's. They were reported to "be able to penetrate railway line". the customer had Veral make him moulds in 512 diameter, with gas-checks, the left one is 400 grain, and the right hand one is 440 grain.
they shoot really well on paper, but I'm yet to hunt anything with them.

Anyway, thought I'd get the Cast Bullets topics off to a start.

Regards,
David.
