Anyway it looks like the 6,45 primer is only Berdan in the Kynoch 45-70. What he also could tell was that this primer was very common at the end of 1800s. He had been offered some primers for Boxer in 6,45 in Austria, and remembered that the seller said they were for some other purpose than ordinary rifle cartridges. It would work to lathe/drill change it to one hole and use them.
Sounds very odd to me, and complicated just for an estetic effect.
