I am wondering about the 45-70 Govt, cases and primers. Cartridges made by lots of different companies years ago, and so on. Looked at Cartridgecollector and found what I was wondering, if the 45-70 has been made with the 6,45 primer. And it looks like it is that one or similar size made by Kynoch.
Anyone who know if this was long ago they made it with that big beautiful primer, only in small series, or lots of them ?
Other companies made the cartridge with this primer? And I suppose it is a Boxer ?
Only seen the 6,45 primer in 9,3x57R/360. (Yes I am a rookie to this.)
And yes, also got a pack of 303 Kynoch with the 6,45 primers, or nearby size.
