Can you confirm that the headstamp on the cartridges from that early post WW2 Lapua packet were "VKT" as you state ?

9x57 Mauser are known with VMT and VALMET hs, and VPT is also likely. I have never seen a VKT ?

"VPT" was used from 1925-c1946
VMT" used c1947-1949
"VALMET" used c1950-1954

Also those 8x56 and 8x57 in the same picture with the "D" headstamp were actually produced by G.Genschow (geco) at their Durlach factory, not DWM.

Notice that those "9x57 M88/9A" (and there is also "9x57 M88/9B") are actually different from the normalised 9x57 (c1912) which are the most common.
