Nice buck as a first bow hunting kill. I bet you were happy.

Bowhunting is something I would like to re-acquaint myself with. As a kid I started off hunting with a bow, but must say wasn't impressed when the arrows fell out of pigeons and rabbits with the target then de-camping.

But while deer hunting locally it is quite common to quietly walk up to a sleeping fallow deer often less than 20 feet away.

And I thought often of you bow hunting in Africa when stalking through the grass and coming across warthog well within bow range near Thabazimbi.

I need to re-equip but first want to acquire a new boar spear and come to really close quarters hopefully this winter.

PS What brand of bow are you using and what are your recommendations?
