I hunted the Brisbane Valley (Australia) this year during the Red Stag roar. Unfortunately I was unsuccessful. I was a little early, the roar had not started in earnest and the stags were hard to find by spot and stalk. The experience was fabulous. I could have shot six different stags with a rifle but with the bow!!!! In two weeks I'm off for four days for goat and late season fallow stags and then back home for a week and then off again to the Brisbane Valley for a go at the Javan Rusa rutt. I'm trying to book my annual trip to the tropics at the moment for the big tropical boars Probably a mixed hunt, some bow and some rifle, especially if I can find a wild Bull. Thats not bad for thr start of the year Regards, The Professor |
