I would think with increasing bear populations and more humans about there will be more bear attacks in the future.

Part of an environment where predators are not acclimatised to being afraid of humans.

Same thing with saltwater crocodiles in the North of Australia. Were once afraid of humans and hid or moved away. Now humans are potential prey.

If environmentalists or greenies had any sense, a limited season on such predators makes sense to keep a relative fear factor going. But who expects them to ever show any sense?

That is exactly correct..there has NOT been a hunting season here for griz in over 3 decades..so, the fear is gone...

Think/know those bears that are NOT in the park areas have a bit more fear as "western justice" still prevails in the back country .. same can be said for wolves, albeit even more so..

The somewhat good news is the griz are now considered recovered. As such there is a proposed hunting season now being pushed forward..BUT, the greenies will have that one tied up in court for a while...:(
