In these areas where bears are known, is it not prudent to carry a large or long caliber weapon to defend themselves in the event of an attack? I think it is unwise to carry out any activity in these areas without adequate protection. I do not know the bear spray but I would not trust them. Minimum one good 44 Magnum revolver.
