There are knife and gunshows that travel around the country visiting the capital cities. They usually have some knifemakers with a stand. If these shows visit Tasmania, perhaps a time to meet up with a good knifemaker. May not be Tasmanian.

Probably good makers in Victoria as well and not too far away.
