Re: Bowhunting-grizzlies---are-you-up to the task???

LOL- When we lived at that house, had to keep the garbage inside all fall, from about Sept. 1st into mid November due to the black bears.
Mackenzie, a small town North of here, was situated on the migration path of the grizzlies due to the flooding of the Finlay river, forming Williston Lake.
The bears frequented the local dump to the point there would be 4 to 6 grizzlies at the dump all day, every day.
The town put an electric fence around the dump to keep the bears out, so they went to town.
That fall, the game branch shot 64 grizzlies in town, trapped another 34 and took they far way for release.
In a few weeks, the bears were all back in town and also had to be shot.

Golf, anyone? This might be the 6th hole. There even was a warning sign concerning a sow with 2 cubs in the 'bush' at the 6th hole on the golf course at Mackenzie, when I worked there in Forestry in the 90's - Forest Officer = tree cop. LOL
