I have a Gerber belt tool with 2 short blades & needle nose pliers of course, then a pair of folding blades, one in each front pocket with the right pocket having the sailor's knife, left pocket the folding lock-blade - they are all handy and are used just about every day.
When hunting, I also have my knife belt with 3 knives (only really need one) and a skinning axe for splitting pelvises and sternums.
I as well have one on me every day..just handy to have for a lot of jobs..Like you, when I am hunting have 2 or more, especially if I am elk hunting as they tend to dull blades quickly..
The only knife I have run into that can skin more than one and not need sharpening in the middle is by Diamond blade knives..

Actually gutted 3 elk with the same knife with no sharpening..have never done that before..
