Taking nothing away from the fit and finish of this knife, for myself I can not really apreciate what to me looks like a short bladed knife - compared to the handle length, that is. It looks unbalanced to my eye, probably as I grew up using the old greenriver style size of knife although I used a more flat backed knife rather than the heavily curved skinner.

After many a make and try over the years I now carry this. It is utility in as much as it is my main field knife for skining and dressing the animal.African blackwood and nickle silver on a mid 19th century tool steel.
